Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre (MTC)

The MTC exists to celebrate the widest spectrum of theatre art. Each season, MTC produces ten plays at two venues, as well as the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival, a Master Playwright Festival, and an annual regional tour.

MTC provides full-time and seasonal jobs in the following areas: Administration (includes finance, IT, fundraising, marketing, outreach, box office and front of house), Production (includes production management, technical direction, wardrobe, props, paint, wigs, carpentry, lighting and sound), and Artistic.

Part-time, casual, and contractor positions also help assist all productions, including additional production employees, actors, stage managers and designers. MTC operates under the collective Canadian Theatre Agreement and agreements with IATSE.

"[To work at MTC], an overall interest in and passion for the arts is important," says Camilla Holland, Executive Director of the Royal MTC.

"In addition to access to world class art, MTC offers a friendly, flexible, and fun environment. There is a lot of passion about what we do and the hard work that goes into it. We truly embody a team environment and pull together to meet show deadlines. At the end of the day, the show must go on!"
