Particular education / experience / training that would make a potential employee a good candidate includes:

  • Experience in Manufacturing (Aerospace is an asset but not mandatory)
  • Completion of an Engineering university degree (e.g. Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering) or an Engineering Technologist college diploma (e.g. Mechanical Engineering Technology)
  • Red Seal Journeyman qualification (e.g. Millwright, Machinist, Painter)
  • Completion of Aerospace Manufacturing & Maintenance Orientation Program (AMMOP) or Aerospace Manufacturing Technology (AMT) program
  • Participation in engineering-related post-secondary projects/activities (e.g. UMSAE, UMSATS)
